"Downtown" includes a post office, a store and cafe, with a connecting bookstore that has an eye-popping eclectic selection. It also has an historical inn with a walled cemetery attached. The cemetery speaks of the local people who live here now and were here before 1909. This book tells about some of their lives.

About the Author:
Pat Turner Mitchell first worked in a bank and then the corporate offices of a brokerage firm. Before she and her husband moved to the North Carolina Mountains, she was a registered broker serving as Vice President of Marketing in their managed futures department. Now family, her studies of history, travel, and books are her life.
