Review:
Sooner or later in life we learn that we are not the directors of our own destiny. Or the destiny of others. We have very significant roles to play in the dramas and comedies in which we ultimately find ourselves. When we can accept the realities of our gifts and limitations we can find great joy, freedom and peace. This book helps us in our process of discovery. --Rev. Robert Burmeister Minister of Pastoral Care for over 30 years North Heights Lutheran Church
I know of Steve Wiese s ability to give counsel by personal experience. I also know of his ability to communicate truth from hearing him on a variety of occasions. And now I know of his ability to put it down on paper. Those struggling with the issue of control, or those caring for people who do, like pastors, teachers, and spouses, will be helped to get a grip on a common problem. His insights may surprise you! --Paul Anderson Director of the Alliance of Renewal Churches and Chancellor of The Master's Institute
This book brings an insightful clarification to God's control of events mixed together with what we can control. It's a refreshing realization of one of the fruit of the Spirit, self-control, and God's intent for us to live by His Spirit in this world. --Greg Berglund, MD, M.Div Pastor North Heights Lutheran Church, Physician
