Not intending to disobey their mother so close to Christmas and jeopardize their reputation as good little pigs, Amanda and her sister April find it just too tempting to pass the snow-covered park without stopping to play

From School Library Journal:
When Amanda Pig goes on an errand, she is forced to drag her younger sister April along. It's a good thing, too, for Amanda can't remember what she was supposed to buy. April reins in her older sister's impulse-buying tendencies and saves the day by recalling that mother may have wanted flowers or flour. They return with both, and Santa's note says how much he enjoyed the cookies and the flowers. de Groat's paintings of these two childlike pig sisters catch emotions perfectly; the added "pig angels" and snow pig statues, as well as the slight but humorous story, will cause a few chuckles.
