Book Description Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. Sheila Hamanaka (illustrator). 1st Edition. First Edition (Number Line to 1). Signed and inscribed on the half-title page (To Julie, Enjoy the mystery of life, Love, Bonnie Pryor, Feb 21, 1991'). Both the book and the dust jacket are strong Near Fines. I think that most sellers would identify both as Fine. You can see the covers in the photos. They are perfectly clean. The corners and edges show no wear at all. There is a tiny dent on the rear side of the spine. The page edges are perfectly clean. The book is square and very solidly bound from cover to cover, nicely tight pages, no binding issues. The inside covers and end papers are a dark blue. They are perfectly clean and show no wear at all. The same description applies to all of the pages in the book, perfectly clean and free of any wear, free of any creasing free of any dogeared corners. Moreover, there are no markings or attachments in the book. And with the exception of the author's signed inscription, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. There are a nice number of full-page black and white illustrations by the illustrator Sheila Hamanaka. The dust jacket is in excellent condition. You can see it in a few of the photos. It is perfectly clean. There are no tears, really nothing at all that merits being called out. The flaps are in excellent shape. There is a little toning at the top and bottom margins. They too are perfectly clean (I'm setting a record for the use of the word 'perfectly'). The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. It will be fitted with a protective cover after the photos are scanned. If you've been looking for a signed first edition of this book, you couldn't do better. Inscribed by Author(s).
