Leonie chooses handsome Sam Nicholson as her architect on the project because he shares her vision. As they restore the mansion to its former beauty, Leonie and Sam fall in love with its unusual charms and with each other. This novel has all the right components: romance, a beautiful setting, deceit, and strong-willed, independent characters. Although it can be a bit predictable at times and the ending is a little too convenient, it is well written and a great book in which to lose oneself. Alexandra Baker
