About the Author:
Frances Patton Statham, of metro-Atlanta, Georgia, is an award-winning author, musician, artist and lecturer. For Flame of New Orleans, she was selected as Georgia Author of the Year in Fiction. Two of her later novels also were awarded that same honor. She received her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude from Winthrop University with a double major in voice performance and music education, a master of fine arts degree from the University of Georgia, and an honory doctorate from World University, with further opera study with Ernesto Vinci and Ralph Errolle. Listed in such biographical reference works as International Who's Who of Writers and Authors, International Who's Who of Women, Personalities of the South, and Contemporary Authors, she is at work on a new novel.
