wow, what an amazing book! I was completely sucked in from the beginning, and am so impressed with Daniel Hanson's bravery in challenging the 'status quo' and what society keeps pushing on women in such a harmful way. This book is loaded with insightful arguments, and Mr. Hanson has the great ability to pull from Scripture the most applicable passages to really underscore his message. It is clear that he is quite learned in regards to religious and philosophical Study and that he cares about the spiritual wellness of women and girls and the health and sanctity of a family unit. It was very well-written and riveting, but not a 'fast' read-- it should be carefully and thoughtfully studied and talked about. So many great discussion points here, I must have highlighted over a dozen passages. Hope to read more from him in the future and recommend to readers of Christian and Spiritual lifestyles/Parenting.

"God's Feminist Movement" by Daniel Hanson was actually far more interesting and deeply insightful than I initially expected it to be (no offense to the author). I just wasn't sure what I was getting myself in for, but as I started reading I was transfixed by Mr. Hanson's knowledge of the Bible, scripture, philosophy, and of life in general, and the impact that certain ways of thinking or behavior can do serious harm to a woman, her family, and all of society... There is a lot of information here, research, Scripture and personal narrative, and the way he writes and puts it all together is very moving, eye-opening, and ultimately transformative. "God's Feminist Movement" is an absolute 'must read' for anyone wishing to raise children in God's vision for them. I feel like Mr. Hanson does a fantastic job of relating his perspectives and information in an easy to digest and very readable manner, and it will definitely open your eyes and change the way you think about what is accepted behaviors, versus what God desires of us. It does discuss sexuality in depth, so probably best suited for mature Christian readers.

With a close focus on the family, a basic social unit; the author explores prudent ways that the society can use to face contemporary issues of moral decadence such as divorce, immorality, and how to relate with members of the opposite sex. The book is a recommended read for parents, educationists, teenagers and those who are courting or in marriage. Hanson explores one of the complex endeavors in human history; being a feminist and a Christian; he interestingly weaves contradicting issues in a precise manner. Indeed; this book is a must read for all, highly recommended!
