RayJay Jahraznik, crazed rock-and-roll promoter/pornographic genius, inherits land in southern Missouri from an aunt he never met, in a town he never heard of. His encounter with the Ozark parcel puts him face-to-face-to-face with a freaky darkness that lurks in cave-threaded limestone below his feet. That dreadful power gives him a choice. Kneel to it, and a new kingdom of rock and roll will descend on Rayjay's wilderness property. Don't, and miss the most kick-ass chance of a lifetime. If he accepts, then "You will rock the roots of this world. I promise that.”

In Isabella, Edna Mosely, the best friend of Rayjay's deceased aunt and only attendant to the woman's funeral, suffers a terrible vision sent from the beyond. Ghastly horrors will soak Isabella and Theodosia in blood and death, if Edna doesn't stop it. But stop what? Now Edna must consult her friend's diary for clues, discover what's heading their way, and cull through the old ways, the hill people's magic, to reinforce the power that keeps the dark at bay.

Can Edna and a rag-tag group of pseudo-mystics stop the evil before it starts a holocaust? Will the Lion of Judah Holy Scripture Church, a group hell-bent on killing the concert, pull off a Revelations revolution? Or does Hillzapalooza succeed in unleashing true hell on earth? The stage is set and the audience is screaming – in terror - in HELLZAPALOOZA The Best Damned Rock Show Ever!

The book is uniquely written as a horror novel-cum-anthology , where a full-length novel weaves around and through a seven story anthology occurring in chapter five. The anthology tells the tales of various concert goers and the things that happen with, around, and TO them. The novel is written by Mark L. Groves, with anthology stories written by Laura Hardenbrook, Joe Baric, John Erik Petersen, Maddie McFadden, Andrew Rambo, Lisa Shepard, and Mark L. Groves.

It's funny, druggy, touching, thrilling, surprising, and chock full of corpses and f-bombs (though not in that order). It's rock and roll out of control and spiralling into hell...literally.

The stage is set as Sodom and Gomorrah meet Barnum and Bailey with the amp cranked up to eleven. Come get your v.i.p. pass to "HELLZAPALOOZA The Best Damned Rock Show Ever!"

WEBSITE REVIEWS:

Bloodsprayer.com says "It brings the soul of Rock and Roll — that brilliant, blinding, fire of love and hate and rebellion that courses through the listener’s veins, pouring hot, sonic ecstasy across every nerve ending from the first notes — to life more fully than anything else I can think of, with the possible exceptions of Walter Hill’s 1984 film STREETS OF FIRE, Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell album and Bruce Springsteen’s Born to Run album. Those are the three holiest texts of Rock and Roll Soul, and now Hellzapalooza adds a fourth. ... I really tremendously enjoyed it from beginning to end, and recommend it to everyone who reads bloodsprayer.com without hesitation or reservation. Read. This. Book."

Bloodsuckinggeek.com says: " What’s most impressive is how each story seamlessly ties into the overall tone of the novel. It all flows very naturally, and provides one hell of a great read as a whole. ... Hellzapalooza is a thoroughly entertaining read. I highly recommend it, especially to cult horror fans and anyone who loves over-the-top anthologies like Creepshow." Downrightcreepy.com says: "Hellzapalooza is a unique book/anthology that far exceeded my expectations. The storyline is solid, characters are well developed, and there's plenty of gore and sex thrown in the mix to keep horror enthusiasts turning the pages."

Horriblyhooched.com (a hilarious and totally NSFW review site) says: Seriously, if there’s one thing I want to be remembered for, its reading this mind blowing, after-life starting, ‘novel’ I see as per-f*ck-tion made fiction. ...Want a good takeaway? This sh*t would make Hemingway hard. ... THIS. MUST. BE. READ."
