Lucy is certain that fairies are real, despite what her mean big brother might say. So when she is given a fairy door on her birthday, Lucy is excited to begin corresponding with her very own fairy pen-pal. Soon, she finds herself transported to an incredible world of fairies and elves, unicorns and other enchanted creatures. A fantastical place beyond even her wildest dreams, Lucy's arrival is no mere accident. She quickly learns that she is the first little girl ever to have been allowed into this magical land; and that she is needed for a very important adventure. With a fairy missing, Lucy is the only one who can help and so begins a mystery that will, in time, reveal to Lucy an intricate and wondrous world in the Fairy Dust Adventures. For now, however, she has only one small task - to learn how to ride a unicorn! Before the night is out, Lucy will have made new friends, learned a new skill, and, perhaps, discovered a few tricks in how to manage an unruly sibling. This might just be the best birthday ever!

About the Author:
I love words, cake and my children. Sometimes in that order. I also love short, sharp sentences. Like that one. I am a multi award winning writer and filmmaker. I say, multi award winning: My first taste of literary success came at the age of 14. I won a national poetry competition. There was only one other entrant. Somewhere there is a photo of the prize giving ceremony during which I fell down some stairs. The photograph captures the look of shock as I receive the trophy and my left foot finds only air. I've spent a career trying to shake off the feeling that success isn't warranted and the fall down the stairs was. I was writer on BAFTA award-winning Prison Architect and most recently wrote the first in the George the (Almost) Fearless Mouse series of books aimed at raising awareness of highly sensitive children. I write movies too. I also make the best cake you will ever eat.
