About the Author:
Samuel Carr is the editor of a series of anthologies of poetry, including Ode to the Countryside and Ode to Flowers. He was also editor on Classic Hymns and Poems (all published by Batsford).

Jo Bell is an award-winning poet working across the UK with talents from Ian McMillan to Brian Patten and Gwyneth Lewis. She has read her poetry at the Houses of Parliament, Glastonbury Poetry Festival, and the Southbank Centre, as well as in France and Sweden. In 2013 and 2014, the Poetry Society and Canal and River Trust appointed her as the Canal Laureate of the UK.
