Besides, it is much more romantic to sit down with some fine stationer y and a fountain pen and scribe your true feelings in an original document.

If you feel daunted by the prospect of putting your affection down on paper, here are a few of the many ideas from our book to help you compose a sincere and original missive your loved one will read over and over.

1. Find a special place with comfortable surroundings to put yourself in the mood to write passionately. This can be anywhere from a favorite coffee shop to a local park.
