The following collection of poems is an accumulation of about seventy years. They have been written during the lifetime of Roy A. Payne. He is a distinguished member of the International Society of Poets, and as such won an award for his entry "Seasoned," at the Society's convention in Washington, D.C., August 1997. Besides a contributor to the local newspaper, he posts a "Poem of the Week" in the local public library. All of life is made up of love, joys, beauty and sorrow. Many have too little love; many have too much sadness, but we cannot escape - it comes to all. It is then we must try to find the BEAUTY even in such sadness. Search for your Rainbow!
