When the treasure-laden Spanish galleon, The Atocha, sinks off the Marquesas Islands during a 1622 hurricane, its $400 million in treasure remained untouched for 351 years until discovered by treasure hunter, Mel Fisher, and moved to the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum in Key West. A ruthless terrorist on the run from Israel's Mossad and a die-hard Mafioso in the Federal Witness Protection Program, hunted by contract killers, find themselves drawn into the unlikely partnership of heisting Mel Fisher's treasure during Hurricane Charley. Emerson Moore, the Washington Post investigative reporter and resident of Lake Erie's South Bass Island resort town of Put-in-Bay, travels on assignment to Key West to cover the hurricane's impact. Joined by his ex-Navy SEAL sidekick, Sam Duncan, Moore finds his assignment taking a dramatic change as he is lured into a spider web of intrigue. Filled with murder, fights, underwater action, sunken boats, double-crossing, shark attacks, drug running, and boating thrills; When Rainbows Walk takes readers to exotic locations satiated with unforgettable characters and a surprising climax!

Review:

Rated 5 Stars! Once again the Washington Post investigative reporter Emerson Moore finds himself enmeshed in a web of intrigue. This time it's when he travels down to Key West, Florida, to cover hurricane Charley's devastating impact. Moore's reporting assignment takes an unexpected and potentially lethal change as he discovers and uncovers cold-blooded murder plots, double crosses, and a plot to steal $400 million in treasure under the protective cover of the hurricane. Bob Adamov is a superb craftsman of hanging-on-the-edge-of-your-seat mystery adventures as "WhenRainbow's Walk" proves that his first novel featuring the intrepid reporter, "Rainbow's End", was no fluke -- and will leave the reader looking eagerly forward to "Promised Land", the fourth Emerson Moore title in this outstanding series.  - Midwest Book Review

This series is a must read for any diver or Clive Cussler fan! - Visibility Divers' Magazine

"One of 2005's best novels in northeast Ohio! Third Adventure Best Yet! Adamov scores with When Rainbows Walk. ...Adamov uses a Prego spaghetti sauce "It's in there!" approach to storytelling. You want sunken Spanish treasure? It's in there. Mafioso on the run? Terrorists, drug runners, tadpole soup? In there."  - Akron Beacon Journal
