Spine is very good but somewhat faded. Binding is cracked at the rear but still holding. End papers are stained from the original binding glue. Previous owners' inscriptions on end paper and gift inscription on ffep dated 1949. Internally excellent; fold-out diagram within and fold-out maps at the rear are in immaculate condition.
