Herriot moved to Yorkshire at the start of his career as a vet. Accompanied by the photographer Derry Brabbs, Herriot revisits the places that informed his life and works, including All Creatures Great and Small. The recipient was possibly Reginald Hubert Walkerdine (b. 1905), co-author of Guide to the Coalfields (1960). Square quarto. Original green cloth, spine lettered in gilt, photographic endpapers. With dust jacket. With photographic illustrations throughout. Neat gift inscription on half-title. A few light bumps to edges, lower edges lightly sunned. A very good copy indeed in like jacket, two tiny chips to lower edge of rear panel, spine and front fold sunned, light creases to top edges.
