Book
Couverture souple. Condition: Bon. in-8 br., 404 p., coll.

Paperback. Condition: Fine. First Edition. 189p., wrps. "Las formas de la memoria I. Los Magos" is a posthumously-published book by Uruguayan critic Emir Rodríguez Monegal. In March 1985, Rodríguez Monegal found out he had terminal cancer, and so began a project that he had been putting off for years: writing his memories. As such, he dedicated himself to writing five volumes, the first of which was dedicated to his childhood and adolescence; the second, to his years as editor; the third, to his experiences in England; the fourth, to his years in Paris; and finally, the fifth, dedicated to his life as a teacher in the United States. Unfortunately, however, he only finished this first volume. Contents include: "El obsesivo Melo", "El hechizo de Corumbá", "El olor de café", "Destino: Montevideo" and "Los Magos".
