Paperback. Condition: Good. Every guy is looking for an edge, some way to get single women his age to notice him more than they do now. Unfortunately, most guys have absolutely no idea what kind of body automatically flips a girl's attraction switch. Nate Green does. Built for Show is the first fitness book to address young men on the prowl. Its not just written for them; its written by one of them. Green, whos just twenty- three years old, is already a veteran fitness professional whos been quoted in Mens Health and Maximum Fitness magazines. Green offers four twelve- week workout programs, each with a seasonal theme. The fall and winter workouts add muscle size and strength thatll show even under layers of clothing. The spring and summer workouts burn fat and chisel the showpiece musclescreating a lean, cut, beach-ready physique. But Built for Show is more than just a workout book. It also provides: Realistic nutrition advice to feed the muscles and starve the fat without breaking the bank or spending hours in the kitchen Tips on dressing right, looking the part, improving your social status, and settling into your new lifestyle Quick ways to assess posture, with useful exercises to fix flaws and improve self- presentation, no matter the situation. The detailed programs include over fifty exercises, illustrated with over one hundred original photos. Neither a weight-loss guide nor a body- building manual, Built for Show instead reveals to guys exactly what they need to build the body they and women want. Read Nate Green's posts on the Penguin Blog. The book has been read but remains in clean condition. All pages are intact and the cover is intact. Some minor wear to the spine.

Book
Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Based on Stanford University psychologist Kelly McGonigal's wildly popular course "The Science of Willpower," The Willpower Instinct is the first book to explain the science of self-control and how it can be harnessed to improve our health, happiness, and productivity. Informed by the latest research and combining cutting-edge insights from psychology, economics, neuroscience, and medicine, The Willpower Instinct explains exactly what willpower is, how it works, and why it matters. For example, readers will learn: Willpower is a mind-body response, not a virtue. It is a biological function that can be improved through mindfulness, exercise, nutrition, and sleep. Willpower is not an unlimited resource. Too much self-control can actually be bad for your health. Temptation and stress hijack the brain's systems of self-control, but the brain can be trained for greater willpower Guilt and shame over your setbacks lead to giving in again, but self-forgiveness and self-compassion boost self-control. Giving up control is sometimes the only way to gain self-control. Willpower failures are contagiousyou can catch the desire to overspend or overeat from your friendsbut you can also catch self-control from the right role models. In the groundbreaking tradition of Getting Things Done, The Willpower Instinct combines life-changing prescriptive advice and complementary exercises to help readers with goals ranging from losing weight to more patient parenting, less procrastination, better health, and greater productivity at work. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.

Book First Edition
Trade Paperback. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. 60 Un-numbered pages with 52 Maps. Plastic Comb binding with first loop broken. Front cover shows very light wear. Interior text pages and colored maps have no defects. Since the 1920's cadets at the United States Military Academy have studied the military campaigns of the First World War in varying degrees of detail. In 1938, T. Dodson Stamps, Head of the Department of Military Art and Engineering, initiated the development of a series of atlases to accompany historical narratives of various wars. Ultimately, the Department introduced one such atlas which was specifically designed to support a departmentally-prepared text on World War I. Thus began the concept of a closely integrated narrative and graphical portrayal which has persisted in the teaching of military history at West Point to the present day. In 1959, a second generation text, The West Point Atlas of American . Wars , edited by Colonel Vincent J. Esposito, was adopted for use at the Military Academy. This unique text, which included coverage of the First World War, served its purpose well. But as a result of fundamental modifications made in the course in the history of the military art in the past ten years, it became necessary to develop a new text.
